These are the ultimate violin assembly clamps. They are made from
semi-soft plastic, and work like a charm, placing the pressure
directly above the rib and lining - unlike regular spool clamps.
"Polyurethane clamping pads with brass-reinforced bushings.
Galvanized steel spindles with brass thumbscrews with very positive
threads for easy adjustments."

Similar design to above, but made to suit the requirements of
cellos. "The fiber-reinforced plastic clamping pads yield
a lightweight yet nevertheless very sturdy clamp. The pads have
additional flexible polyurethane inserts to prevent marring of
the surface of the wood and varnish coat. The spindle is partially
encased in silicon to protect the edges of the instrument. Also
well-suited for assembling and restoring guitars.
