Double basses by Christopher are made with pre-formed laminated
veneers, a construction technique that gives the arch of
the bass strength to resist succumbing to the weight of
the strings, a common failure in many basses as they age.
The back is deeply arched, yielding a fuller, richer tone,
and the basses are finished in a medium golden brown durable
varnish. They are supplied expertly set-up (with either
Classical or Pizzicato action at your request), however,
the bridge is removed for shipping. Please allow 3-6 weeks
for delivery of set-up basses.

This includes bag, strings, adjustable bridge, and soundpost.
It is playable as-is, but lacks the important refinements
that we perform. You may then have the bass set-up at
the local shop of your choice, or you may do the set-up
work yourself (experience required).
